Karen Yates

Hi there, my name is Karen Yates. I am 38 and I live in Mordialloc  (Melbourne , Victoria)  with my husband Mark and 2 gorgeous kids , Harry (4 yrs) and Emmerson (19 months). Being a wife and mother is an extraordinary honour and an amazing journey. The kids have filled me with more love and joy than I ever imagined possible (most of the time, hehe).

On the scrapping front - I first got into scrapping after a Creative Memories party in 2003. The more I did it, the more I wanted to do it, and the more my “style” developed. But I am not sure I have an actual style. I do like clean, simple layouts though. I enjoy creating layouts to showcase our life and for the fun, the challenge and to relax, having it there for future generations is an added bonus. I love products that add that something to a layout without being too much, such as a bit of ric rac or a chipboard shape. 

I am very excited to join the Scrapbook Hub Team. I look forward to inspiring others and letting them encouraging my creativity. I am also more than happy to answer any questions or challenges put forward.

In my other life I am a Paediatric clinical nurse consultant currently doing asthma education for parents. I enjoy reading and I love music, but mostly I love spending time with family and friends.  I can’t wait to share with you all!

Deanne Stewart-Mills

I am a wife to a musician and mum to 2 tiddlypeaks, one teenager and a kittycat. I work from home as an independant Stampin' Up! demonstrator and freelance paper arts teacher. I teach regular cardmaking classes at the local Uniting Church and at home (in The Craft Room).

Lots of my projects have been published in Australian magazines such as Stamping and Papercraft (now called Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft), Australian Paper Crafts, Creative Cardmaking and Papercraft and Scrapbook Creations. I am on the Design Team of Little Scrapbook Shop www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au , a home away from home.

Annie Hilliar

 Hi, I'm Annie, creator of Scrapbook Hub.  I am a crafter from way back (folk art, stencilling, varied papercrafts) and discovered scrapbooking via a CM demonstration, 4 years ago. Now I am hooked!  I love doing layouts of all my precious family - Rob, my patient husband, my 3 children Chris and Jenelle (both married), my youngest daughter Grace (14) and my little grand-daughter angels Ella (5), Sophie (3) and Phoebe (12 mths).

I am still discovering my scrapping style so my layouts tend to be a mishmash of alot of different things.  I also love making cards for special occasions and special people and I am now beginning to delve into the realm of stamping.

I'm excited about the contribution Scrapbook Hub makes to the to the Australasian Papercrafts Industry - having done lots of research for my own needs I have been blown away by the amazing scope of our home-grown talent and business resources.  I decided that it was time it was highlighted in one place - so here it is, the opportunity for us all to utilise what Australia and New Zealand has to offer in the papercraft world!
